Timeless Timber to showcase innovative new range for UK merchants at GLEE
BSW Timber, Britain’s largest sawmilling business, is to unveil an exciting new range of Timeless Timber products at the Glee show next month.
Treated railways sleepers and stunning glass and metal decking accessories are expected to be the major drawcards at BSW Timber’s exhibit in Birmingham from September 17-19.
The Timeless Timber sleepers have been impregnated with wood preservative under controlled conditions in a vacuum pressure plant, followed by a surface application of solvent- based colourant.
The process ensures the Timeless Timber sleepers take on an even, rich dark brown colour and boast excellent durability and water repellent properties.
The wood preservative reacts with the wood structure so that it becomes locked in and leach resistant, protecting the timber against fungal rot and insect attack and giving it a long service life.
Meanwhile, the glass and metal decking accessories all feature cutting-edge designs and are PEFC certified.
Bryan Crennell, Marketing Manager at BSW Timber, said there had already been widespread interest from merchants.
