Timeless Timber Helps Provide Inspiration for Leading Artists

The studios of some of Britain’s leading artists have been transformed with the help of BSW Timber.

The Cove Park artists’ centre in Argyll, Scotland, has officially unveiled three new accommodation “cubes” and three new studios for artists complete with Timeless Timber decked- balconies suspended over a pond.

Britain’s largest sawmilling business dispatched Timeless Timber to the charity after hearing of the plans.

The cubes are imaginative conversions of freight containers, which have been welded together and incorporate a wall of glass to maximise views over the seas and hills.

Cove Park provides residencies for artists of all disciplines from across the UK and abroad. The residencies run from two weeks to three months.

In the past four years, Cove Park has worked with a range of organisations including The National Theatre, the Royal Opera House, and artists from China and the Middle East.

Bryan Crennell, Marketing Manager at BSW Timber, says: “Cove Park offers invaluable assistance to artists. Timeless Timber has proved to be the perfect product for the decking because of its durability. We are proud to be associated with some of Britain’s top artists.

“Timeless Timber decking offers a cost effective way to give areas such as Cove Park a stylish transformation, combining the traditional appeal of natural materials with modern design and lifestyle choice.

Jo Moffat, spokeswoman for Cove Park, said: “We are hugely grateful to BSW Timber for their support. The Timeless Timber decking is a wonderful addition to the artists’ accommodation and many have already said how pleased they are with the decking.

“Cove Park was impressed with the 20 year warranty and the fact that the high quality and performance of Timeless Timber decking is recognised by the Timber Decking Association (TDA).”
