TDA launches builders guide to timber decking
The Timber Decking Association (TDA) has just published a builders guide to timber decking.
This new publication is designed as a quick and easy guide to choosing and using decking timbers to provide a long life. The guide is based on the specifications and technical information found in
the TDA's publications and codes of practice for professional designers and deck builders. These standards are based on a requirement that a domestic deck should last for a minimum of 15 years.
The new deck builders guide covers, planning approval, materials selection, the basic principles of deck design and construction and the requirement for a balustrade.
